Dallas: U.S. President Donald Trump has strongly reacted to the brutal murder of 41-year-old Indian national Nagamallayya in Dallas, reiterating his tough stance on illegal immigration. “The days of being soft on illegal immigrants are over,” he stated, emphasizing that the era of showing leniency toward criminal illegal immigrants has ended.
The victim was attacked on September 10 at a motel in Texas in the presence of his wife and son, and was fatally stabbed in the neck. The accused, 37-year-old Jordanis Cobos-Martinez, is a Cuban national residing illegally in the United States. Commenting on the incident, Trump said, “This tragic event highlights how weak our nation’s border security is. We cannot know the criminal histories or dangerous intentions of those who enter our country illegally. While traveling through countries like Cuba and Mexico, they often establish connections with criminal networks, which poses a direct threat to our national security.”

Trump further accused previous administrations of a lenient approach toward illegal immigrants, which he said encouraged the growth of illegal immigration in the U.S. He reminded that during his tenure, he implemented numerous strict measures to curb illegal immigration, including building the border wall and strengthening security systems. He stressed that his administration is committed to addressing the issue and has made arrangements for the deportation of illegal immigrants from the country.
