Washington:  U.S. President Donald Trump has intensified his efforts to mediate an end to the Russia-Ukraine war, holding separate meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He is reportedly preparing for a possible trilateral discussion as well.

Trump claimed that his peace initiatives are part of a broader push to win the Nobel Peace Prize. “I have already stopped six wars. If the Russia-Ukraine war also ends, it will be the seventh. Then the Peace Prize will definitely come to me,” he stated. He even took credit for attempting to de-escalate tensions between India and Pakistan, despite India denying his involvement.

In a surprising remark, Trump suggested that ending the war could also secure him “a place in heaven.” In an interview, he said, “If the war stops and I eventually go to heaven, this effort will certainly be one of the reasons.”

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt responded, saying Trump was serious about his comments on heaven. “The President wishes to go to heaven, and we all wish the same,” she remarked.

Observers note that Trump’s faith appears to have grown stronger after the recent assassination attempt during his campaign. Sources indicate that spiritual programs at the White House have increased, and Trump has even appointed a spiritual advisor to guide him.
