Washington:  U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed a desire to see his face carved into Mount Rushmore alongside the historic figures of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. The monument, located in Keystone, South Dakota, stands as a national memorial to leaders who shaped America’s strength and identity.

Trump recently shared an AI-generated video on X showing his likeness added to the monument. Reports indicate that Congresswoman Anna Paulina introduced a bill in February, shortly after Trump began his second term, proposing his inclusion. Each existing carving, designed by sculptor Gutzon Borglum, measures around 60 feet in height and was intended as a tribute to presidential leadership.

While Trump’s push has reignited political debate, officials have categorically dismissed the idea. The National Park Service has confirmed that Mount Rushmore cannot accommodate a fifth carving, citing both space constraints and safety risks. Past discussions about adding presidents such as John F. Kennedy, Ronald Reagan, and Barack Obama also failed to progress.

Despite official resistance, Trump’s pursuit of this symbolic recognition has once again spotlighted his efforts to leave a permanent mark on American history.
