US President Donald Trump has once again urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to accept a peace plan, accusing Ukraine of showing “no gratitude” toward the United States. Posting on Truth Social, Trump also alleged that European nations were still purchasing oil from Russia despite sanctions being in place. He further claimed that if he were still in office, the Russia-Ukraine war “would never have happened,” a statement that has drawn widespread international attention.
Trump’s latest remarks triggered a strong diplomatic response from Kyiv. Responding on X, President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed gratitude to the United States for its continued military and humanitarian assistance, stating that American Javelin missile systems have played a crucial role in saving Ukrainian lives.
