The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC) has issued an alert for Group 1 candidates. The selection for the Group-I Mains will be conducted on a 1:50 ratio. Candidates will be chosen according to the provisions of GO Nos. 29 and 55 issued by the General Administration Department.
Some candidates had approached the High Court, requesting the selection for the Group-I Mains to be in a 1:100 ratio. The High Court heard the petition and urged a prompt decision.
In response, the Service Commission examined the candidates’ representations as directed by the High Court and rejected the request, stating that the 1:100 method is not feasible.
The selection of candidates for the Group-I Mains will be done on a 1:50 basis, as specified in the job advertisement. TGPSC recently issued a memo confirming that the candidates’ requests were rejected. Candidates will be selected for the main examination based on their performance in the preliminary examination, following the provisions of the GO issued by the General Administration Department.
