Indian intelligence agencies have raised serious concerns over the possibility of terrorists from Pakistan attempting to infiltrate the country. According to inputs, several individuals are waiting to enter India through various border routes. The alert intensified after a suspicious boat was intercepted off the Kutch coast in Gujarat. Police detained 11 people onboard, who claimed they were fishermen who had drifted off course. However, authorities suspect they may be militants trying to enter the country in disguise and have begun probing the case from a terror-related angle.
The warning comes amid a resurgence of terror activities following the recent Delhi bomb blast, which security officials say has emboldened terror networks. BSF Inspector General Yadav confirmed that around 69 terror camps are active along Pakistan’s LoC, with nearly 100 to 120 terrorists waiting for an opportunity to cross into India. He added that the BSF foiled four infiltration attempts involving eight militants this year and assured that border surveillance has been strengthened to prevent further breaches.

Security agencies have also flagged concerns over Pakistan-based terror outfits planning major attacks on Indian soil. Intelligence reports suggest that top commanders of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed recently held a high-level secret meeting. LeT deputy chief Saifullah Kasuri was reportedly seen in Bahawalpur, a stronghold of JeM chief Masood Azhar, indicating increased coordination between the two groups. These developments prompted agencies to declare a nationwide high alert.
Officials believe that the renewed terror mobilisation is aimed at exploiting any potential security gaps along the border. The BSF’s G-branch continues to monitor terror hideouts and movements across the LoC, while counter-terror units are assessing intelligence inputs on planned attacks. With infiltration attempts showing signs of rising, security forces remain on full alert to counter any threat to national security.
