Telangana State Election Commissioner Parthasarathy announced that the upcoming gram panchayat elections will be conducted in three phases. During a review meeting held via video conferencing with collectors and senior officials on Thursday, he outlined the election schedule and procedural details.

A draft notification of the voters’ list will be issued on September 6, allowing for the submission of objections. The final voters’ list is scheduled for release on September 21. The elections for all panchayats and local bodies are expected to be completed within the next four to five months.

The election process will commence with the gram panchayat elections in three phases, followed by elections for MPTC and ZPTC members, and concluding with municipal elections. To ensure smooth conduct, steps will be taken to limit each polling station to 600 voters. Additionally, Parthasarathy instructed officials to verify that voters are restricted to their designated wards and cannot vote outside their designated area.
