The Supreme Court of India has declined to intervene in the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) Group 1 recruitment case, upholding the earlier verdict of the High Court. A bench led by Justice Vikram Nath dismissed the petition filed by aspirants, stating that there were no grounds to interfere with the High Court’s ruling.
The case stems from allegations by candidates who had approached the High Court, claiming irregularities in the Group 1 examinations and errors in the evaluation process. They sought cancellation of the notification and demanded fresh examinations. However, the High Court’s division bench, after reviewing the matter, found no evidence of malpractice or procedural lapses in the conduct of the exams.
Challenging this decision, the petitioners moved the Supreme Court, arguing that their concerns were not adequately heard. During the hearing, TGPSC’s counsel maintained that the evaluation had been conducted three times to ensure transparency and fairness. After considering submissions from both sides, the apex court dismissed the plea, effectively paving the way for the continuation of the recruitment process.
