The management of Raghu Engineering College in Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh, has suspended a student for assaulting a teacher with a slipper. The incident, which took place on campus, involved a student identified as Gurugubelli Venkatalakshmi, who verbally abused and physically attacked the teacher during a dispute over a mobile phone.
According to reports, the student demanded a mobile phone worth Rs 12,000 from the teacher. When the teacher refused, the student resorted to abusive language and struck her with a slipper. Other students present recorded the incident on video, which subsequently went viral on social media.
