The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas continues to ravage the Gaza Strip, with no resolution in sight. While Hamas refuses to surrender, Israel’s military campaign remains unrelenting. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have intensified airstrikes across Gaza, leading to widespread destruction and the deaths of thousands. Amid the devastation, a severe famine is unfolding, pushing countless civilians to the brink of starvation.
According to humanitarian agencies, residents of Gaza are unable to access even basic food supplies. As conditions worsen, hunger-driven Palestinians are now attacking food warehouses in desperate attempts to survive.
Aid Convoys Overrun by Starving Civilians
On Sunday morning, the World Food Programme (WFP) dispatched 77 trucks loaded with food aid into Gaza. However, thousands of hungry residents intercepted the convoy and looted the supplies en route. WFP officials reported that due to an aid suspension lasting nearly 80 days, desperation has reached such levels that people are no longer waiting for formal distribution.

The United Nations has confirmed that although Israel has permitted the entry of some aid convoys, the food is not reaching the general population. Palestinians fear death by starvation, with many expressing that they have no alternative but to seize whatever food becomes available.
WFP stressed the urgent need to deliver more food to the region, stating that for aid to reach people effectively, Israel must grant faster and broader permissions, and convoys must be guaranteed safe passage. Currently, Israel is only allowing a limited number of trucks, and the supplies are insufficient to meet the escalating needs of Gaza’s population, the agency said.
