Barabanki: A stampede at the Ausaneshwar Temple in Barabanki district, Uttar Pradesh, early Monday morning claimed the lives of two devotees and left 29 others seriously injured. The injured were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Officials reported that panic erupted after rumors of an electric shock spread among the crowd, causing devotees to rush for safety and resulting in chaos. The incident comes just a day after a similar stampede at Haridwar’s Manasa Devi Temple, which claimed six lives.
