Sangareddy: Hidden spy cameras were discovered in the bedroom of a girls’ hostel in Maitri Villas, Kishtareddypet, triggering serious concerns over privacy violations. The incident comes months after a similar case was reported at Malla Reddy College girls’ hostel.

According to reports, Bandaru Maheshwar, the administrator of Lakshmi Girls’ Hostel in Villa No. 75, allegedly installed the cameras and stored the recordings on an attached memory card. The hostel houses 30 female students, who discovered the cameras on Friday and immediately raised an alarm.

Following their complaint, Ameenpur police registered a case and took the accused into custody for interrogation. Investigators are currently examining multiple memory chips retrieved from the spy cameras.

Victims have alleged that the memory card contains private footage of hostel residents, leading to widespread distress among the students. The incident has raised serious concerns regarding security and surveillance measures in private hostels.
