Indian women’s cricket star Smriti Mandhana has officially announced that her wedding has been cancelled. The ace batter took to Instagram to share the update, confirming that her marriage to music director Palash Muchhal, which was earlier scheduled for November 23 and later postponed, will no longer take place. Her announcement has put an end to weeks of speculation surrounding the couple.
In her statement, Mandhana said that although she prefers to keep her personal life private, she felt the need to address ongoing rumours. She urged people to respect the privacy of both families and allow space to move on. Mandhana further noted that her focus remains firmly on her cricketing career and expressed her determination to continue representing India at the highest level and winning more trophies for the country.
Music director Palash Muchhal also confirmed the cancellation of the wedding through his Instagram story shortly after Mandhana’s announcement. He stated that he had walked away from the personal relationship and was disappointed to see people readily believing rumours without evidence. He described the period as the most difficult phase of his life.
Muchhal further expressed concern over unverified information being circulated on social media and warned that his legal team would initiate action against those spreading false content intended to damage his reputation. Both individuals have made it clear that they intend to focus on their respective careers as they move forward.
