Prakasam: A major road accident claimed six lives in Andhra Pradesh’s Prakasam district on Friday. The incident occurred near Taticherlamotu in Komarolu mandal when a speeding lorry rammed into a car.
According to police reports, six passengers travelling in the car died on the spot. Two children who were also in the vehicle sustained serious injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
All the victims hailed from Stuartpuram and were reportedly returning from a pilgrimage to Mahanandi at the time of the mishap. Authorities have registered a case and launched an investigation into the cause of the collision.
