Actress Shilpa Shetty has denied reports claiming that Income Tax officials raided her Mumbai residence. Her lawyer clarified that no such raids took place and stated that the officials had only visited in connection with a follow-up on a ₹60-crore case. The lawyer also warned that spreading unverified information could lead to legal consequences.
The clarification comes after Income Tax authorities conducted searches at Shilpa Shetty’s Bastian restaurant in Karnataka on December 17. The action followed an FIR filed by Bengaluru police for permitting late-night parties in violation of regulations. On December 18, several media outlets reported that IT officials had raided her residence, which the actress has now categorically denied.
Shilpa Shetty, who has been involved in multiple controversies recently, is also preparing to launch a new restaurant named ‘Ammakai’. She promoted the upcoming venture through a recent announcement on social media.
