The second phase of polling has commenced in Bihar, covering 122 assembly constituencies with 1,302 candidates contesting. Nearly 3.7 crore voters are eligible to exercise their franchise in this phase, including 1.75 crore women. A total of over 45,000 polling stations have been established, with around 40,000 situated in rural areas.
The police have implemented stringent security measures across all polling centers. More than four lakh personnel have been deployed to ensure smooth and orderly conduct of the elections.
