Moscow has sharply criticized US President Donald Trump’s decision to redeploy two submarines, calling it a move driven by fear and a continuation of Washington’s pressure tactics. The Kremlin warned that such actions could heighten nuclear tensions and urged global caution.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia is not intimidated by the US submarine deployment, noting that American submarines have long been on active duty and this is part of an ongoing process. He emphasized that Russia’s foreign policy toward the United States is guided by President Vladimir Putin and reaffirmed that Moscow handles nuclear issues with extreme caution, strictly adhering to international security standards.
Russia further accused Washington of struggling to accept its declining global dominance, claiming that the US is leveraging tariffs and military maneuvers to exert political and economic pressure on other nations to maintain its influence.
