Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) has landed in fresh controversy after reports surfaced of ₹4 crore being distributed to 136 affiliated clubs—Rs 3 lakh each—ahead of the association’s Annual General Meeting (AGM). The move, officially claimed to be for “club development,” has raised serious concerns over possible misuse of funds and electoral manipulation.

Sources allege that the payments were strategically made to avoid dissent during the AGM and to gain leverage in upcoming HCA elections. The disbursement is reportedly linked to HCA President Jaganmohan Rao and other key office-bearers.

Adding to the suspicion, payments were allegedly processed without the approval or signature of HCA Secretary Devaraj, which has become a key point of contention. A formal complaint has been lodged with the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), seeking an investigation into the financial transactions and administrative decisions involved.
