Hyderabad: Former Minister KTR has alleged that a rebellion against the Congress government has started in Kodangal, the constituency of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. In a significant development, former Kodangal Congress MPP Dayakar Reddy, BSP candidate Narmada, and other local leaders joined the BRS on Saturday, in the presence of KTR.
Speaking at the event, KTR made striking remarks, accusing Congress of sidelining a low-cost plan to irrigate Kodangal under the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme. He claimed the scheme was only taken up for commission-driven motives, rather than serving the community.
KTR expressed anger over alleged negligence, stating, “While Telangana witnesses a wave of protests across regions from Adilabad to Alampur, Congress ministers are engaged in leisure trips.” He underscored the urgency by adding, “Only in darkness do we realize the value of light.” KTR accused the Congress of mismanagement, claiming that while Telangana’s income declines, the wealth of Congress leaders is increasing.
Criticizing further, KTR alleged the misuse of the state’s resources, stating that the Telangana government helicopter is being used for Congress election campaigns in other states. He called on BRS leaders to work together to defeat Congress in Kodangal in upcoming elections.
