Following the defeat of the 131st Constitutional Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy welcomed the outcome, calling it a historic moment. In a post on X, he stated that the opposition, under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, had succeeded in safeguarding democracy. He also extended his gratitude to several opposition leaders across the country for their collective efforts in opposing the bill.
Revanth Reddy specifically thanked leaders including M. K. Stalin, Akhilesh Yadav, Mamata Banerjee, Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray, Arvind Kejriwal, Farooq Abdullah, Naveen Patnaik, along with leaders of the Communist parties, acknowledging their role in ensuring the bill’s defeat.
Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin also reacted to the development, stating that a bill perceived as being against the interests of Tamil Nadu had been defeated in Parliament. He described the outcome as just a “small trailer” and expressed confidence that the opposition would replicate this success in the upcoming elections.
