Revanth Reddy made significant political remarks, stating that he would continue as the Chief Minister of Telangana until 2034 while working towards making Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister of India. The Telangana Chief Minister said he personally encouraged Rahul Gandhi to take up the responsibility of leading the country in the future.
Revanth Reddy said Rahul Gandhi’s primary focus is on bringing the Congress party back to power rather than aspiring for the Prime Minister’s post. He asserted that Rahul Gandhi would be projected as the Prime Ministerial candidate of the INDIA alliance in the upcoming general elections. According to him, the Congress party would first make an official announcement and later convince alliance partners to support the decision.
The Chief Minister also stated that he would remain dedicated to Telangana politics until 2034 and continue working for the welfare and development of the state. Revanth said his vision is to transform Telangana into a major economic force contributing 10 percent to the country’s GDP. He added that after 2034, he would step aside to provide opportunities for the younger generation.
Expressing confidence about his future political role, Revanth Reddy said he would contribute to national service after completing his tenure in Telangana. He remarked that after helping Rahul Gandhi become Prime Minister, he would take up the responsibility entrusted to him at the national level. Revanth also praised the Gandhi family, stating that he shares a strong rapport with Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
Recalling his political journey, Revanth Reddy said he had worked in the Telugu Desam Party for nearly a decade before joining Congress. He revealed that he personally informed N. Chandrababu Naidu about his decision before leaving the party. The Chief Minister noted that maintaining cordial relations even after changing political parties is rare and added that Chandrababu Naidu still respects him.
