Following India’s triumph in the 2024 Men’s T20 World Cup with a thrilling victory over South Africa by seven runs, veteran cricketers Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli retired from T20 Internationals. Adding to the announcements, left-arm spin all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja declared his retirement from the shortest format of international cricket.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Jadeja, who missed the 2022 tournament due to injury, expressed his intention to continue serving in ODIs and Tests. He remarked, “With deep gratitude, I bid adieu to T20 internationals. Like a stalwart steed, I have always given my utmost for the country and will continue to do so in other formats.”
