The film, which has garnered positive feedback, has been making waves for its reported large budget and significant earnings. However, Varma refuted these claims, sarcastically stating, “If Game Changer has a budget of Rs 450 crore, then SS Rajamouli’s RRR must have had a budget of Rs 4500 crore. If Game Changer made ₹186 crore on its first day, then Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 should have earned Rs 1860 crore at the box office.”

He further added, “For people to believe any truth, there must be a basic principle. It must be a believable lie that people are willing to accept.”
