Madhubani, Bihar: Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi has once again voiced serious allegations of electoral malpractice, claiming widespread vote rigging by the BJP in collaboration with the Election Commission. Speaking at a public rally in Madhubani on Tuesday, Gandhi criticized the ruling NDA government for allegedly manipulating elections and undermining democratic processes.
Gandhi alleged that during previous elections, votes were illicitly influenced under the NDA administration. He further accused the BJP of unilaterally deciding election dates instead of the Election Commission. Questioning the silence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the matter, he stated, “Vote manipulation started years ago in Gujarat and has now reached the central level. In several states, election dates are being altered without accountability, and despite irregularities, no cases are being filed against the Election Commission.”

The Congress leader highlighted the impact of new voters in states such as Manipur, Maharashtra, and Karnataka, noting that the BJP benefited from these dynamics. He urged the Election Commission to take stringent action against any electoral malpractices and stressed the need for strict enforcement against violators.
Reiterating the importance of protecting citizens’ right to vote, Gandhi added, “The India Alliance will go to any lengths to safeguard Bihar’s electorate. The RSS has consistently disregarded constitutional values. If we lose the right to vote now, we risk the long-term protection of the Constitution.”
