On the occasion of YSR’s 75th birth anniversary, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi released a video honoring the legacy of YSR. Describing YSR as a true leader of the people, Rahul Gandhi expressed deep sadness over his untimely death, lamenting that Andhra Pradesh might have seen a different trajectory had YSR been alive today.
Rahul Gandhi expressed confidence in Sharmila’s ability to carry forward YSR’s legacy effectively. “I firmly believe that Sharmila will uphold YSR’s principles and lead the party with integrity,” he remarked. Highlighting Sharmila’s courage and leadership qualities, Rahul Gandhi noted that he had personally learned valuable lessons from YSR, whose padyatra inspired his own Bharat Jodo Yatra, despite adverse weather conditions.
