Hyderabad: Sritej, the minor injured in a stampede during the premiere of Pushpa: The Rule, has been discharged from Care Hospital in Secunderabad and moved to a rehabilitation centre for continued recovery. His father Bhaskar informed that while the boy has regained consciousness and is able to open his eyes, he has not yet regained full cognitive function and is unable to recognise people. Doctors have confirmed that his condition is currently stable.
Sritej will undergo a 15-day physiotherapy regimen at the rehabilitation centre, following which he may be discharged to continue recovery at home. The boy had been under treatment for four months and 25 days following the tragic incident.

The stampede occurred on December 4, 2024, outside Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad during a benefit show of Pushpa 2, starring Allu Arjun. The incident claimed the life of a woman named Revathi, while her son Sritej sustained serious injuries. In the aftermath, Pushpa 2 makers extended financial and moral support to the family. Actor Allu Arjun donated ₹1 crore, while director Sukumar and the film’s producers contributed Rs 50 lakh each. Allu Arjun also bore the expenses for Sritej’s medical treatment.

Legal Action Against Allu Arjun
Following a complaint by Revathi’s husband, Bhaskar, the Chikkadpally police registered a case against actor Allu Arjun and took him into custody. He was produced before the Nampally Court, which remanded him for 14 days. However, the Telangana High Court granted interim bail shortly after, leading to his release the next day.
