The strikes targeted Khamenei’s residence, which was reportedly destroyed, although Iranian authorities stated he had been moved to a secure location prior to the attack.
US President Donald Trump confirmed Khamenei’s death on Truth Social early Sunday, a report subsequently verified by Iranian media. The announcement has fueled heightened tensions between Iran, the US, and Israel, with regional and international attention focused on the unfolding crisis.
Shiite Muslims in Budgam, Jammu and Kashmir, also staged protests condemning the assassination. Videos of these demonstrations have gone viral on social media, reflecting widespread outrage and solidarity with Iran.
