Jagan Mohan Reddy, and her daughter, Y.S. Sharmila. Vijayamma conveyed her distress over the ongoing tensions, saying recent events have caused her immense sadness and frustration, noting, “I am at a loss to understand what misfortune has struck our family.”
‘People Are Speaking as They Please,” Says Vijayamma
Vijayamma lamented the spread of rumors surrounding her family, accusing outsiders of stirring the issue. She appealed to them to refrain from interference, expressing hope for reconciliation between Jagan and Sharmila. She also criticized Y.V. Subba Reddy and Vijayasai Reddy, stating that they have propagated untruths about the family situation.
Vijayamma Alleges Unequal Property Allocation
Addressing claims about the distribution of assets, Vijayamma clarified that no formal division occurred during Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s tenure. Some assets were placed in Jagan’s name, others in Sharmila’s, to secure both their futures. She emphasized the family legacy, remarking that both her children are equal to her and should receive equal shares. Notably, Vijayamma mentioned that her late husband desired an equal inheritance for all grandchildren and credited Jagan’s efforts in enhancing the family’s wealth, which she affirmed remains family-owned.

“I Cannot Endure Injustice to My Child”
Vijayamma further disclosed that an MOU was signed in 2019 in Vijayawada, drafted by Jagan himself. She stressed Sharmila’s entitlement to her share, mentioning her right to dividends totaling Rs 200 crore. Expressing her dismay, Vijayamma stated, “I cannot bear to see one child wrong another,” and praised Sharmila’s contributions to Jagan’s success.
