Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a five-day official tour to Cyprus, Canada, and Croatia, the Ministry of External Affairs confirmed on Saturday. The visit, beginning June 15, is aimed at deepening bilateral relations and enhancing India’s strategic outreach in Europe and North America.
Modi will commence his tour in Cyprus on June 15–16 at the invitation of Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides, becoming the first Indian Prime Minister to visit the Mediterranean island nation in nearly two decades. During his visit, Modi will address a business conclave, and both countries are expected to sign key agreements to strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade, investment, and European Union engagement.
From Cyprus, the Prime Minister will travel to Canada on June 16–17 to participate in the G7 Summit. This marks his sixth appearance at the global summit, where he will engage with world leaders on pressing international issues including technological innovation, energy security, artificial intelligence, and global governance.
On his return leg, Modi will visit Croatia on June 18, marking the first official visit by an Indian Prime Minister to the country. The visit is expected to open new avenues of cooperation with Central and Eastern Europe, especially in the areas of education, pharmaceuticals, and digital technology.
