Prime Minister Modi further proposed the establishment of mechanisms for rapid response to health emergencies and natural disasters. He suggested forming a G20 Global Healthcare Response Team of trained medical professionals and recommended creating a G20 Global Traditional Knowledge Repository to preserve heritage while enhancing public health and welfare. India’s historical expertise in these areas was cited as a foundation for these initiatives.
Focusing on Africa’s role in global development, Modi proposed the G20 Africa Skills Multiplier Initiative, aiming to train one million teachers across the continent over the next decade. He also highlighted the significance of including the African Union in these programs, calling it a source of pride for India as the current G20 president and reinforcing the country’s commitment to inclusive growth and international cooperation.
