Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the increasing participation of women scientists in ISRO, calling it a commendable achievement. Addressing the nation during his Mann Ki Baat program, he emphasized India’s progress in artificial intelligence (AI) and stressed the need to harness its potential for national development.
During the address, Modi lauded Telangana’s Adilabad-based government teacher Thodsam Kailash for his efforts in preserving tribal languages. He noted that Kailash had composed a song in the Kolami language using AI tools, contributing to linguistic conservation. Modi highlighted the growing importance of AI and its expanding applications across sectors.

The Prime Minister also hailed India’s achievements in space exploration, marking ISRO’s successful launch of its 100th rocket as a significant milestone. He emphasized that the accomplishment reflects the country’s commitment to advancing space science. Over the past decade, India has launched approximately 460 satellites, reinforcing its global standing in the space sector. He also recalled the success of Chandrayaan, calling it a moment of national pride and an inspiration for the youth.
Reflecting on his recent visit to an AI conference in Paris, Modi stated that India’s advancements in artificial intelligence have been recognized on the global stage. He further announced that, in honor of National Women’s Day, his social media accounts would be dedicated to celebrating the contributions of women.
Thodsam Kailash: Preserving Gondi Language Through AI
Thodsam Kailash, a social science teacher at Gaurapur Upper Primary School in Indravelli Mandal, Adilabad district, Telangana, has been actively working to preserve the Gondi language. Since 2017, he has been promoting Gondi literature through YouTube, publishing motivational content and literary works.

Kailash has authored Sadvichar, a book aimed at inspiring tribal youth, and has leveraged AI to convert Gondi-language poems, stories, and messages into digital formats. Concerned about the declining usage of the Gondi language, he has conducted research to document and preserve traditional vocabulary, compiling it into a book. His efforts include archiving Gondi literature on digital platforms and creating educational content on YouTube.
His book Kandiring Vesuding (Children’s World), published by the Gondwana Sahitya Academy, has contributed to the revival of the language. His work in preserving tribal heritage and utilizing AI for linguistic conservation has been recognized as an inspiration for the community.
