Vijayawada: YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and former minister Perni Nani has drawn criticism for his provocative statements made during party meetings held in Pamarru and Avanigadda constituencies of Krishna district. Referring to TDP Minister Nara Lokesh’s “Red Book” initiative, Nani ridiculed it and claimed that YSRCP workers have repeatedly warned Lokesh and others. He further suggested that political retribution should be swift and discreet, stating, “What must happen in the dark should be completed overnight. Then go and offer condolences as if nothing happened.”

Urging YSRCP cadre to act without hesitation once the party returns to power, Nani said there is no need to announce consequences in advance but to execute actions silently. His remarks, which appeared to incite retaliation against political opponents, have gone viral on social media, prompting widespread condemnation from across the political spectrum. The comments have sparked a fresh controversy at a time when the political environment in Andhra Pradesh remains tense following the recent elections.
