Bengaluru: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has stirred controversy with his recent comments on the changing roles of heroes in films. Reflecting on the evolution of cinematic portrayals, Pawan remarked, “In the past, heroes were depicted as protectors of the forests. Today, young heroes are playing roles as mafia and smugglers. The situation has changed drastically. Now, heroes are shown as smugglers who destroy the forests.”

He further expressed his admiration for Rajkumar’s Gandhada Gudi, a film that emphasized forest conservation, noting that it is the responsibility of forest officials to safeguard these natural resources. Pawan Kalyan’s comments have ignited a heated debate on social media, with many speculating that his remarks were aimed at Allu Arjun’s role in the popular film Pushpa.

Pawan Kalyan made these statements during his visit to Bengaluru, where he met Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. The two leaders discussed issues related to wildlife and forest conservation in their respective states. The Chairman of the Karnataka Bio-Energy Development Board was also present at the meeting. In this context, Pawan’s remarks have become a focal point of discussion both online and offline.
