Guntur: Jana Sena Party leader, deputy CM Pawan Kalyan delivered a strong warning on Sunday, stating that suo motu cases would be filed if leaders issue threats to IAS, IPS officers, or other government officials. Speaking at the Forest Department martyrs’ commemoration in Guntur, he expressed sharp criticism towards former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy and his party’s conduct, stressing that a coalition government could benefit Andhra Pradesh but must not be a “weak” one.
Pawan Kalyan emphasized, “Even if someone is beyond the seven seas, we will ensure justice is served. Past leaders who were in power for decades did as they pleased, often intimidating police and government officials. However, Jagan, who is now an MLA, must act responsibly. No one will be intimidated by such actions, and even the slightest harm to officials will not be overlooked. Leaders entrusted with upholding democracy cannot speak irresponsibly,” he asserted.
He also highlighted the importance of honoring the sacrifices of forest martyrs, pledging to raise a ₹5 crore fund for the Forest Department with support from various groups. “The Forest Department has our complete backing, and officials have full freedom to protect our forests,” Pawan affirmed. He proposed erecting memorials in honor of forest martyrs and naming Forest Office blocks after them, offering any assistance necessary to safeguard forests from smugglers.
