The “Palle Panduga” festival has kicked off in Andhra Pradesh today, and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan participated in the celebrations in Kankipadu, Krishna district. During his speech at the event, he made significant remarks about the film industry. He indirectly responded to Allu Arjun, stating, “I am not in competition with anyone in Tollywood.” Pawan Kalyan emphasized that while he wishes success for all actors, the development of the state’s economy should be the priority before focusing on entertainment.

Development First, Then Entertainment

Pawan Kalyan stressed that for people to afford movie tickets, they need to have money in hand, which requires ensuring that everyone’s basic needs are met. “First, let’s focus on development, and then we can enjoy festivities,” he said. He clarified that he holds no grudges against any actor, wishing for the success of stars like Balakrishna, Chiranjeevi, Mahesh Babu, NTR, Allu Arjun, Ram Charan, and Nani. However, he reiterated that the state’s development is his primary concern at the moment, urging people to prioritize the economy.

Commitment to Rural Development

Pawan Kalyan announced the government’s commitment to providing at least 100 days of work for rural families. He outlined plans for projects like cement roads, BT roads, compound walls, roof-top installations in schools, Gokulam constructions, water supply improvements in drought-affected areas, and sanitation work. These projects, totaling 30,000 initiatives with a budget of ₹4,500 crore, will be inaugurated during the “Palle Panduga” week, with a promise to complete them before Sankranti.
