The volatile situation between Israel and Hamas is worsening as Israeli airstrikes struck multiple residential buildings and refugee camps sheltering displaced civilians in Gaza on Saturday night. The attacks claimed the lives of 29 individuals in Khan Yunis, 48 in northern Gaza, and 26 in a refugee camp in Jabalia, totaling 103 fatalities, including seven children. Notably, nine members of a single family were among the dead, drawing widespread condemnation and sorrow.

Hundreds were injured and are currently receiving medical treatment. Gaza’s health authorities confirmed that 150 people died and 450 were wounded on Saturday alone. Despite the scale of the assault, Israel has not released an official statement regarding the latest strikes.

The ceasefire agreement brokered between Israel and Hamas on March 18 has been violated, triggering a fresh wave of violence. Since the breach, over 3,000 Palestinians have reportedly died, according to Gaza’s health department.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently stated that Hamas has refused to agree to a ceasefire, prompting Israel to escalate military operations. Netanyahu accused Hamas of denying the release of Israeli captives and asserted that Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) are targeting only Hamas military infrastructure in Gaza.
