Vijayawada: The NTR Trust, under its philanthropic initiatives, organized a grand music concert titled ‘Euphoria’ in Vijayawada. The event was attended by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Minister Nara Lokesh, and MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu reaffirmed the commitment of Basavatarakam Hospital and NTR Trust to public service, stating that these institutions would continue their operations as long as the Telugu community exists. He highlighted the transformation of Basavatarakam Hospital from a personal tragedy into a model of healthcare excellence and commended NTR’s vision for social service. Naidu further emphasized that significant development has been undertaken at the hospital during his tenure. He lauded Balakrishna and Bhuvaneshwari for their contributions, with Balakrishna overseeing the hospital’s operations and Bhuvaneshwari managing the trust’s welfare activities.

Pawan Kalyan Donates Rs 50 Lakh to NTR Trust
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan announced a donation of Rs 50 lakh to NTR Trust, stating that since he attended the musical event without purchasing a ticket, he wished to contribute in another meaningful way. He praised Balakrishna for his dedication to philanthropic activities beyond his film career. Pawan Kalyan also acknowledged the silent yet impactful role of NTR Trust in public service over the past 28 years, expressing deep respect for Balakrishna’s commitment to humanitarian efforts.
Nara Lokesh Highlights NTR Trust’s Social Initiatives
Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics Nara Lokesh underscored the trust’s role in public welfare, describing it as a symbol of hope, reliability, and commitment to underprivileged communities. He attributed its success to the leadership of NTR, the strategic vision of Chandrababu Naidu, and the dedicated efforts of Bhuvaneshwari.

Lokesh expressed gratitude to donors supporting thalassemia patients, emphasizing that every contribution helps save lives. He noted that NTR Trust, since its inception in 1997, has provided services in education, healthcare, self-employment, and safe drinking water across both Telugu states. The trust has played a crucial role in disaster relief, women’s empowerment, and healthcare services. He revealed that 200 children suffering from thalassemia and genetic disorders are receiving blood transfusions from the trust, which has conducted 13,000 medical camps and distributed medicines worth ₹23 crore. Additionally, the trust operates Sanjeevani health clinics and four mobile medical units to extend healthcare services to those in need. Currently, 2,020 orphaned children are being provided with free accommodation and education under its initiatives.
NTR Trust’s Contribution to Healthcare Services
During the COVID-19 pandemic, NTR Trust undertook extensive relief efforts, including the distribution of masks, medicines, and oxygen, while also assisting in the final rites of COVID-19 victims. Lokesh highlighted the trust’s significant role in healthcare services, particularly in blood donation, where it has provided blood to 8.7 lakh patients, contributing to life-saving interventions on a large scale.
