Nizamabad police have clarified reports regarding an alleged encounter involving notorious rowdy shooter Riaz. Contrary to circulating claims that he was killed in an encounter, Nizamabad City Commissioner Sai Chaitanya confirmed that no police firing took place and Riaz is alive. The suspect sustained injuries during a personal altercation prior to his arrest and is currently receiving medical treatment.
Riaz, a wanted criminal, had previously murdered CCS Constable Pramod on a public road and injured his nephew Akash and SI Vitthal. During attempts by the police to apprehend him, Riaz allegedly attacked officers, resulting in Constable Pramod’s death. The incident prompted the Nizamabad Police Department to launch a high-priority operation.

Eight special police teams were deployed across the city, establishing roadblocks and conducting extensive surveillance to prevent Riaz from escaping Nizamabad. The coordinated operation ensured that the suspect remained within the city limits during the pursuit.
Authorities have confirmed that Riaz was successfully taken into custody and emphasized that the injuries he sustained were not caused by police action. He remains under police control and is undergoing treatment, with investigations into his criminal activities ongoing.
