Amid evolving political developments in Telangana, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao outlined the party’s future strategy, emphasizing organisational restructuring and a renewed focus on public issues. He responded to the emergence of new political parties and ongoing shifts within the state’s political landscape.
Reacting to the launch of outfits such as Telangana Rashtra Sena, KTR stated that the formation and disappearance of parties is a natural process in a democracy. He maintained that BRS would not be distracted by such developments and would instead concentrate on strengthening its engagement with the people.
In a significant organisational decision, KTR announced the dissolution of all party committees from booth level to district level, retaining only the state committee. He said new committees would soon be constituted with committed and loyal cadres, as part of efforts to rebuild the party from the grassroots.
Highlighting the need for a strategic political approach, KTR noted that aggression alone is insufficient without clear planning. He added that rising public dissatisfaction with the ruling Indian National Congress government in the state would serve as a key political plank for BRS in the coming months.
The party also plans to intensify its agitation against the government by raising public issues more aggressively. Leaders will undertake district-wise tours to identify local concerns and organise protests. KTR assured cadres that BRS would continue to stand by them and remain committed to representing the people, irrespective of whether it is in power or opposition.
