Sushila Karki, Nepal’s first female Chief Justice, is widely respected for her firm stance against corruption and impartial judgments. Her leadership qualities and credibility have earned her significant support from the country’s youth, particularly amid the ongoing protests. The interim government under her guidance is expected to manage the transitional period and address pressing political challenges.
Nepal is currently facing severe unrest, with violent protests disrupting daily life, including air travel and public transportation. Her ability to navigate these complex challenges will be closely watched both nationally and internationally.
