The arrest of former Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi has sparked intense political discussions in Andhra Pradesh, with speculation growing over possible legal action against former minister Kodali Nani.
Reacting to Vamsi’s arrest, TDP General Secretary Nara Lokesh reiterated that legal action would be taken against those involved in alleged misgovernance during the YSRCP regime. Lokesh had earlier stated that Kodali Nani was on his radar, emphasizing that corruption and unlawful activities would not go unpunished under the new administration.

Vamsi, who won on a TDP ticket in 2019 but later extended support to the YSRCP, was recently arrested in connection with the kidnapping of a Dalit youth. His arrest has further fueled discussions on the ruling alliance’s crackdown on YSRCP leaders.
Since TDP’s return to power, Kodali Nani has reportedly maintained a low profile, staying away from political activities and remaining in Hyderabad. With Vamsi’s arrest, attention has now shifted to whether further legal action will follow, keeping Andhra Pradesh’s political landscape on high alert.
