International aid has started arriving, with several countries dispatching rescue teams to assist in the aftermath. However, clashes between the military government and rebel forces are hindering access to certain regions, raising concerns that the death toll may continue to rise. The affected areas are facing critical shortages of food, water, and shelter.
India has already sent 15 tons of relief supplies under Operation Brahma, including tents, blankets, sleeping bags, generators, and food packs. The United States, Indonesia, and China have also pledged aid to assist with relief efforts. United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres confirmed that additional assistance is being provided to the affected nations.
