Telangana Jagruthi president and MLC Kavitha has announced plans to undertake a statewide yatra across Telangana, set to begin in the last week of October. The yatra will traverse all districts and is being organized under the cultural organization Telangana Jagruthi, which Kavitha heads. Unlike typical political campaigns, the posters for the yatra are reported to feature Professor Jayashankar’s image instead of BRS Party chief K. Chandrashekar Rao. The initiative is focused on BC development and public welfare, with the yatra scheduled to continue until February. Kavitha will also engage with scholars and intellectuals at various stops along the journey.
The announcement comes in the backdrop of Kavitha’s suspension from the BRS Party following allegations of internal dissent and anti-party activities. The day after her suspension, she resigned from both her MLC position and her primary membership in the party. This political context has added prominence to her upcoming yatra, positioning it as a high-profile public initiative.

In addition to her political engagements, Kavitha recently met students protesting at Hyderabad’s Chikkadpally Central Library. The students are demanding a re-conduct of Group-1 exams and the release of a job calendar. Kavitha personally interacted with them, listening to their concerns and addressing their grievances on the spot.
Kavitha has urged authorities to take prompt action to resolve the students’ issues, highlighting her focus on public welfare alongside her political activities. The yatra is expected to serve as a platform to address developmental concerns while reinforcing her presence as a prominent leader in Telangana.
