Yerragondapalem YSRCP MLA Tathiparthi Chandrasekhar has been issued notices by the police under Section 41(A) for alleged inappropriate comments against TDP leader Nara Lokesh on Twitter. A case had been registered against Chandrasekhar recently, and the police have initiated action as part of the investigation.
YSRCP Criticizes Police Action
YSRCP leaders have alleged that the cases are politically motivated, accusing the police of targeting their party members intentionally. They claim such actions are part of an agenda to malign their party and its representatives.
This development follows the issuance of notices to Raghava Reddy, the personal assistant of Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy, in another case. Additionally, Kodali Nani, a former minister and YSRCP leader, has been booked based on a complaint by Andhra University law student Satyala Anjana Priya.
The complaint, filed at Visakhapatnam’s Three Town Police Station late on Saturday, accuses Kodali Nani of using derogatory language in press conferences and Assembly sessions during the previous government. It alleges that his remarks targeted then-opposition leaders Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh, defaming their character and undermining their dignity.
The complainant stated that Nani’s comments were offensive and could incite discord, adding that such behavior sets a negative precedent for the youth. The police have registered the case and are expected to issue further notices as part of their investigation.
