Andhra Pradesh Minister Ram Prasad Reddy has reiterated the government’s commitment to fulfilling election promises, particularly regarding free bus travel. He confirmed that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will review the RTC and transport departments on August 12, focusing on the implementation of free travel for women in RTC buses. The free travel facility for women is expected to be introduced shortly.
Minister Ram Prasad Reddy also criticized the previous administration, stating that the RTC was severely impacted during the five-year rule of former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy. Today, Minister Ram Prasad Reddy convened a meeting with RTC and transport department officials to discuss the situation. The TDP had pledged to launch the free bus travel scheme for women once it assumed power, and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is anticipated to inaugurate the scheme on August 15.
