Khammam: The Telugu states have been struck by severe rainfall, with Khammam district in Telangana facing extensive damage. Continuous heavy rains over the past three days have caused rivers, streams, and rivulets in the region to overflow. The Munneru River’s flooding has resulted in significant waterlogging, trapping residents of Khammam town.
During his visit to the affected areas, Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy sustained injuries. The Minister was en route on a two-wheeler to engage in relief work when he fell from the vehicle and injured his leg. Immediate first aid was administered by his attendants.
Minister Srinivasa Reddy was subsequently taken to his residence for further medical evaluation. Doctors assessed his injury, provided treatment, and advised him to rest.
