Hyderabad: MIM leader Mubashir lodged a complaint against Jana Sena chief and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, accusing him of making derogatory remarks. Mubashir alleged that Pawan Kalyan’s statement implying that residents of Hyderabad’s Old City criticize Indian culture was unacceptable and offensive. He urged the police to file a case against Pawan Kalyan for his comments, sharing his concerns on social media. Responding to the issue, Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anand stated that legal advice would be sought before proceeding further.
The controversy stems from Pawan Kalyan’s speech during an NDA election rally in Degloor, Nanded district, Maharashtra. While campaigning, Pawan praised Maharashtra’s historical figures who upheld Sanatana Dharma and called for public support to combat anti-social elements threatening these values. He highlighted the NDA’s governance achievements over the past decade, emphasizing its role in advancing national development.
Pawan Kalyan’s remarks also targeted unnamed leaders in Hyderabad who allegedly made provocative statements such as, “If police close their eyes for 15 minutes, we will show Hindus their place.” Pawan questioned whether people should weaken themselves by dividing in elections or unite to build a strong future for Hindus. He called for collective strength to safeguard the community’s existence and create a prosperous future.
The statements have sparked significant controversy, drawing sharp reactions and becoming a subject of heated debate.
