Amaravati: The Government of Andhra Pradesh on Monday released the merit list for Mega DSC 2025, marking the completion of what officials described as the largest and most transparent teacher recruitment drive in the state’s history. Announcing the results, Kona Shashidhar, Secretary of the School Education Department, made it clear that there would be no waiting list or second list for the recruitment. He stated that the entire process was completed within 150 days in a fully transparent manner, despite more than 100 legal cases being filed.
Shashidhar said that over 1.4 lakh objections received on the draft keys were addressed and clarified before finalising the results. The recruitment was carried out under Government Order (GO) No. 77 (dated August 2, 2023), which introduced vertical and, for the first time, horizontal reservations. Additionally, GO No. 46 (April 19, 2025) implemented SC sub-classification, while GO No. 47 provided 3% reservation to meritorious sportspersons. The recruitment covered government, panchayat raj, municipal, tribal welfare, social welfare, and backward classes welfare schools across the state.
The computer-based examinations were conducted in two shifts between June 6 and July 2, 2025, under strict security. Preliminary keys were released on July 5, objections were accepted until July 12, and the final keys were published on August 1 after an expert review. After a detailed verification process, 15,941 candidates were selected — comprising 7,955 women (49.9%) and 7,986 men (50.1%). The remaining 406 vacancies could not be filled due to a lack of eligible candidates from specific communities and will be carried forward to the next DSC notification.
The final selection lists are available at all District Education Offices, District Collectorates, and on the official AP DSC website (www.apdsc.apcfss.in). Shashidhar said the recruitment has set new benchmarks in transparency, inclusivity, and fairness, and described the induction of over 15,000 new teachers as a historic step towards strengthening the state’s education system. Help desks have been set up for candidates, who can contact 8125046997, 9398810958, 7995649286, or 7995789286 for assistance.
