Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati announced on Sunday the removal of her nephew, Akash Anand, from all party positions. The decision holds significance as Akash was previously projected as her political successor.
Mayawati appointed BSP National General Secretary Anand Kumar and Rajya Sabha MP Ramji Gautam as the party’s new national coordinators. She emphasized that any individual harming the party’s principles would face immediate removal. Citing past incidents, she recalled the expulsion of Akash’s uncle, Ashok Siddharth, for allegedly weakening the BSP and stated that his actions had already impacted Akash’s political future, leading to her decision.
