A massive explosion rocked Tehran, the capital of Iran, following a series of Israeli airstrikes targeting the Iranian regime. Several people were injured in the blast and were immediately rushed to nearby hospitals. The strikes came amid heightened tensions, with Israel aiming to weaken Iran’s military and strategic capabilities.
Israeli forces simultaneously targeted Tehran, Shiraz, and Ahvaz, focusing on critical infrastructure. In Shiraz, ballistic missile production and storage centers intended for deployment against Israel were hit, while key sites of Iran’s air defense system in Tehran were destroyed. Additionally, Israeli aircraft attacked ammunition depots and combat equipment manufacturing centers, dealing a significant blow to Iran’s military preparedness.
In Ahvaz, western Iran, Israeli strikes targeted major offices of various Iranian regime departments. Military intelligence reported that dozens of personnel involved in planning terrorist operations were identified and neutralized. Israel stated that these attacks were part of a broader effort to disrupt terrorist networks, with over 200 targets struck and hundreds of bombs dropped in a single day. The operation has been dubbed “Roar of the Lion” by the Israeli military.
Reacting to the strikes, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a stern warning to Iran’s newly appointed Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei. Netanyahu hinted that Khamenei could face the same fate as his father and stated that terrorist leaders would receive no “life insurance.” He described Mojtaba Khamenei as a key figure controlled by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, unable even to appear in public.
